Obviously, that Rev. C. Welton Gaddy is merely a BINO. Just who does he think he is spouting off with the Bible and stuff like that?
Christian in quotes is right on.
ZIRGAR - I'm sure the "real christians" (Pat Robertson) will have something to say about this evil Rev. Gaddy.
Riot Kitty - That's the only way to print "christian."
He is the head of The Interfaith Alliance. But I imagine that some might use the BINO label or something similar. There was a time though when Baptists were quite the envelope pushers. Martin Luther's principles meant something. Reform meant something, as did progressive thinking.
But that was back when you didn't get Baptised before the age of reason, and only if you asked to be, of your own free will. Before Dominos Pizza parties where you traded your soul for a tiny piece of thin crust cheese pizza.
Seeing Eye Chick - There are still a lot of Baptist churches that really push the envelope hard.
There was a news story last week about a 17 yr. old boy from a Baptist school who went to his girlfriend's prom. She attends a public school. He was expelled from his school because he went to a prom where there was music and dancing.
There are still a lot of Baptists living in the 1800's.
