TORTURE INEFFECTIVE.....EXCEPT FOR AL QAEDA RECRUITMENT

David Schuster was sitting in for Keith Olbermann on Countdown last night. He had former military investigator Matthew Alexander as his guest. David was asking Matthew if torture really was productive. Matthew said that the only way torture was productive is that it makes al Qaeda's recruitment very much easier.

See, can you all see why we must not be a country that tortures?? Why these lunatic rightwingers think its OK is sickening! This Alexander guy is very smart indeed and I don't know why we haven't seen more of him! Lets see Fox put him on Hannity! Our country has been arrogant and hypocritical under Bushes regime, why could we use torture but other countries couldn't?? We are the greatest country on Earth, but we must not use that to bully! I think Obama is on the right track to fix the wrongs of the past 8 years, and if you conservatives don't like it then move the fuck away!
Thanks for this post Eddie!

That's about right. We've known for a long time that torture merely tortures people, but doesn't promise accurate information.

So, what have we had the helm? People who get their kicks from creating hell on earth for other human beings?

Jacob - Probably the same guys that used to torture the neighbor's cat as a preteen. You know, the same ones who were the bullies in school. The person who is oh so tough when they have someone on their knees or backed into a corner, but turns into a pussy when that person fights back.

I agree, GE. But why'd we get stuck with them at the highest levels of our government?

I guess we would have to put part of the blame for that on the 50.8% of the population that listened to the Rethuglican lies and voted for Bush.
