Sen. Russ Feingold's attempt at a fillibuster of the "fixes" to the Patriot Act were voted down in a maneuver by Senate majority leader Bill "The Fascist" Frist.
There were only two Senators who stood with Feingold; Jim Jeffords, I-VT, and Robert Byrd, D-W.VA. Just where the hell were all the other Democrats who call themselves progressives? I know where they were...hiding under their desks like the scared pussies that they are. They are afraid to stand up to Bush and the Republicans...they don't want to appear unpatriotic, which is just what they are doing by voting against our rights and liberties.

Patriot Act moves ahead despite Feingold's continued opposition

Jeffords is an independent, isn't he?
In any case... doesn't change the vote.
Econ,
Yeh, he is. That's what happens when I rush thru my proof reading...I miss stuff.
Thanks for pointing that out. I went back and changed it...and you're right, it doesn't change the vote.
