TEXTBOOK TERRORISM

The Federal Government has to realize and accept that the heinous act of violence committed against Dr. George Tiller was an act of terrorism. All the attacks against women's health care providers, reproductive clinics, the employees, the doctors, and the women and their friends who use the services at these clinics are nothing more than organized terrorism. This terrorism is used repeatedly by groups like Randall Terry's Operation Rescue. It's time the FBI and other government agencies did something to stop it.

From Alter Net:

Why Dr. Tiller's Murder Should Be Identified as Textbook Terrorism

GRITtv discusses what pro-choice organizations need to do moving forward.

Dr. George Tiller, one of the few physicians in the United States who performed late term abortions was murdered Sunday in the foyer of his church in Kansas. He is the eighth abortion provider murdered in the US since 1977 and his death is indicative of a larger assault on health clinics and providers who offer reproductive services, including abortion. Jennifer Pozner says that such actions are really cases of textbook terrorism and need to be identified as such.

Lynn Paltrow, Founder and Executive Director of National Advocates for Pregnant Women, Jennifer Pozner, Executive Director of Women In Media & News (WIMN), a media analysis, education and advocacy group, Sunsara Taylor, a writer for Revolution Newspaper, and an abortion provider in the south take on the media’s response to Tiller’s death and discuss what pro-choice organizations need to do moving forward.

I agree. This is terrorism. So were the chants of "Kill him!" at the Palin rallies. The extreme right are dangerous...they are on our own soil. They bear the same delusional notions of righteous supremacy that drive al-Qaeda and justify their acts of violence.

itdamnedonme - Yes, this is terrorism. Just like those chants of "Kill Him" at the Palin rallies that no one even tried to stop, which puts Palin in the same extremist category.

Like someone else said...The only difference between these home-grown terrorists and al-Qaeda is 8,000 miles.

GE, I agree 100%. It's terrorism and the right is fomenting it publicly and I also, too, think it really started to be obvious at the Palin rallies. You betcha! MSM should be all over this because it's literally lethal.

ZenYenta - Yes, the right keeps fanning the flames and the MSM should be all over it. But, as usual, the MSM has turned a blind eye to it....just like they did during the Palin rallies.
