THREE FOR THURSDAY...

I'm sorry I haven't been around to read anybody's blogs the last couple of days. I got called back to work Wednesday, so between that and things I've had to get done around here, I haven't had much time for anything else.

That said, I thought I'd leave you with three tunes, two of which have been running through my head all day. Can you guess which ones?

Hope you like Humble Pie! Enjoy!

Riot Kitty - Hopefully.

Hey....you were supposed to tell me what two songs you thought were runnin' thru my head all day!

Congratulations. I hope it's a permanent return to work for you. Now if only I could be so lucky. lol

Great news on the job front for you, my friend! Hope it continues as long as you want it...

Howdy GE. Sorry I wasn't around to say congratulations earlier... I hope all goes well on the job front. Either that, or you become independently wealthy and can live a life of leisure and express your inner rock star :)

One Fly, ZIRGAR, HermitJim, Shea - Thanks guys. I'm grateful for all your well wishes. I'm hoping this will be permanent. Of course I wouldn't mind the independently wealthy thing either, Shea.

ZIRGAR, I hope you find something soon my friend.

You were thinking of 30 days In The Hole and One Eyed Trouser Snake Rumba?

So how were your first 3 days back to the grind?

Congrats on going back to work. You were truly concerned.

Cats r Flyfishin - Thanks for your concern. It is greatly appreciated.

Nancy - Good Afternoon! Close, but no cigar....of course, close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. Ya got the first one right, but the second was Hot 'N' Nasty!

First three [plus 5hrs on Saturday] were good, actually. It was great to be back doing something I like to do.....and feeling productive again. It'll be 9 hrs/day this next week, for 4 days. we've got Friday off for the Fourth.

I'm so happy for you, Eddie. Hopefully, you can get back to a regular routine without an end (unless its retirement).

Grandpa Eddie said...

Nancy - My wife is happy, too. I'm not so grumpy anymore.

I would love to be able to keep working steady til retirement....or til we score big on the lottery.

LeftyLadi said...

We've been waitin' for the Big One, too, but retirement for him is just around the corner (4 years). He's been with UP for 30 years.

Grandpa Eddie said...

Nancy - He should have a good pension....if the Bush economic disaster didn't eat it all up.

I forgot ;)

Grandpa Eddie said...

Riot Kitty - That's ok. :)

Nice taste in music, reminds me of the good ol days of my youth, Happy 4th

Rhino - Thanks, my friend. The music from the "good ol days of our youth" suits me much better than much that is produced now.

Happy 4th to you also.
