We've all heard the comparisons between the war in Iraq and Vietnam.
Today Danny Schechter at Media Channel has a post on the Katrina-War parallels.

"And now that the army has been "deployed" like an occupying force, tensions and incidents invariably follow. It is starting to sound like Iraq."

'The Monterey Herald notes: "The first response of Washington bureaucrats is always an itchy trigger finger -- "security" (suppressing "insurgents") is their main concern, not disaster relief."'
