FEINGOLD HAMMERS ALITO.....CNN GOES TO COMMERCIAL

We in Wisconsin have at least one politician in Washington who is trying to help.

Just in from the Progressive Daily Beacon:

Feingold Forces Alito to Concede He Lied About Vanguard Failure
by August Keso, January 10th, 2006

(5:24PM Eastern, January 10, 2006) Russ Feingold, the only Senator to truly probe Alito's responses, forced Alito to admit that his failure to recuse himself from the Vanguard case was not due to a computer glitch. CNN, which has been doing its best, as are all the nation's media, to ensure Alito is shown in the best possible light, almost immediately left the hearing for a commercial break.

Go get 'im, Russ!!!

...and damn proud of him we are!

Stands his ground, doesn't take anyone's shit, gets Alito to confess to lying, and forces CNN to hurry to an unscheduled commercial break!

I hope he embarasses the hell outa Alito, Bush, and the rest of the neocon assholes!

Russ has the only pair on Capitol Hill!

How sad is it that we have only 3 Dems worth any spit? 1)Russ, 2)Barb Boxer, 3)John Conyers. I wish I could include Obama in that list, but he just hadn't shown the brass ones like these 3.

Via,
" Russ has the only pair on Capitol Hill!"

....and a big pair they must be.

Tina,
Yeh, I had high hopes for Obama. Saw him on the tube before the election and was impressed...at the time. Now....I just don't know.

Dang, I wish I had seen this. On the topic of Obama, I have been dissappointed. His "learning his way around Senate" bit is wearing thin. Didn't he vote for the bankrupty bill?

Karena,
That's putting it mildly.

...and yes, he did vote for the bankruptcy bill.

Thanks Grandpa. I like it when someone says "that's putting it mildly." I don't know why, I just take it as a compliment. I am starting to hope and pray that Feingold runs and gets the nomination. We do not need Kerry or Hillary. We need someone strong and outspoken with a little better image than Dean. Dean always looks like he is ready to blow a gasket and while I am in a perpetual state of being ready to blow a gasket I do not think a lot of voters would be comfortable with that kind of personality. Feingold could be our man. I love Wesley Clark but I am not sure if he ran again if he could gain a lot of traction.

Karena,
I like Dean, but I also like where he's at right now.

Clark is a good man and one that I believe would make a good prez....but I don't feel he would garner enough votes to beat a powerful repub and Diebold.

I really like Russ...and not just because he's my Senator. He's a good man, an honest man. Knows the Constitution frontwards, backwards, inside-out, and upside-down. Hell, he's the only Sen. who voted against the Patriot Act the first time.

I think Russ would make a great prez.
