RACIAL PROFILING

Terrorist attacks have been carried out by people of all ethnicities. What police need to look for is strange behavior, not dark skin.

Bravo - that's exactly my thinking. For argument's sake, let's say that you are predominanly worried about Islamist terrorists. While your shaking down the poor Hindu Sikh, the Chechnayan, the terrorist from the former Yugoslavia and the radicalized recent convert can slip right by. Plus, let's not forget the home-grown militia freaks like Timothy McVeigh.

I'm Mexican-American, and though my family is light skinned, I have a couple of cousins that were spooked to fly for the first few weeks after 9/11. One in particular sat quietly for a flight from El Paso to NYC, even though he had to take a leak about halfway through. We can laugh about it now...
