The wife and I were talking the other day about me being laid off and the things I can get done around here now. Some of it would have to wait 'til warmer weather, but that's alright. She said that it was too bad she wasn't making enough for me to be able to stay home all the time, which I'd just love to do.
Ya see, I don't mind doing the dishes, or the laundry, or cooking and cleaning. I used to do that all the time when I was a single dad raising four kids. It kinda got to be second nature.
I wish we could swing it without me having to hold down a full time job. I could put in that big garden I've been wanting for the last few years. I'd have enough time to take care of it, and then have the time to put up plenty of veggies for the winter.
Things just never seem to work out the way we want them to.
Oh well, just gotta keep pluggin' along.
